Pinsent Masons boosts its London property capability with double partner hire

18 Nov 2024 | 09:23 am | 1 min. read

Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has appointed partners Tim Webb and Emma Maher to its property practice.

Tim and Emma both specialise in advising on corporate real estate transactions, particularly in the residential build-to-rent sector.

Richard Griffiths, head of Pinsent Masons’ property group said, “There are significant opportunities in the UK’s property market. The government’s ambitious new housing targets, alongside an anticipated decline in interest rates has made the UK a particularly attractive market to investors – both domestic and international. Tim and Emma bring invaluable experience in structuring these investment and development opportunities, especially on build-to-rent projects, and will be great assets in helping facilitate these transactions for clients.”

Tim has built a reputation for himself as a market leader in the build-to-rent sector in London advising multinationals, real estate private equity funds, local real estate companies and family offices.

Emma advises on commercial property matters including investment, asset management, real estate funds, development, and sales and purchases.

Both join from K&L Gates.

Tim said, “This wave of activity needs to be supported by changing legislation and regulation to speed up the delivery of these important housing projects across the UK. Investors and developers will need to make sure they’re on top of these changes to realise their full benefits.”

Emma continued, “Joining a firm with such a strong sector-led focus allows clients to benefit from a truly unified, holistic approach, including planning and tax as well as facilitating corporate wrappers for real estate projects. Tim and I are looking forward to joining this reputable team, building out Pinsent Masons’ corporate real estate capabilities.”
