Pinsent Masons hires Lisa Connaughton to lead its Company Secretarial Operations in Dublin

01 Jun 2021 | 02:34 pm | 1 min. read

Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has hired Lisa Connaughton as head of company secretarial operations in Dublin, further boosting its financial services capabilities in Ireland.

Joining from Maples Fiduciary Services, and with over 15 years’ company secretarial, compliance and governance experience, Lisa will be responsible for providing comprehensive company secretarial, company law compliance, and corporate governance services to Irish corporate entities and investment funds. Lisa and her team will service our Irish and global client base.

Lisa’s extensive experience and knowledge of Irish company law, company secretarial, and corporate governance matters, particularly in relation to investment fund structures, make her an important strategic hire for the Dublin partnership. Lisa will also be central to servicing the requirements of our impressive corporate client base.

Dublin office head, Gayle Bowen, said: "This is the ideal time for Lisa to join our business; with our corporate, IP and funds practices thriving we needed a strong and highly experienced candidate to service the rapid growth in these areas. Lisa’s technical abilities and understanding of relevant legislation will be such an asset to the partnership”.

Ahead of joining Lisa commented: “I am delighted to be joining Pinsent Masons and am looking forward to working with such a progressive and dynamic firm, as well as getting to know my new colleagues and clients.”

Lisa received her undergraduate commerce degree from NUI Galway, and a Bachelor of Law from Dublin Institute of Technology. Lisa is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

The Dublin office has grown consistently since its opening in late 2017 with staff numbers now over 60 including 10 partners. Lisa’s appointment is part of a series of key strategic hires to the Pinsent Masons Dublin office over the last 12 / 18 months including Technology, Science and Industry lawyers Zara West and Erika O’Donnell, and Energy lawyer John Scanlon. Pinsent Masons’ expanding Dublin office has also had a series of internal promotions with Oisín McLoughlin appointed to the partnership earlier this month as well as Sarah Power (Senior Associate), Dorian Rees (Senior Associate), Sarah Hope (Associate), Gavin Hickey (Associate) and Matthew Mooney (Solicitor) all starting new positions.
