Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has launched REcapture, a new tech-based real estate solution designed to make multi-let investment and portfolio acquisitions faster, simpler and more efficient for investors and lenders.
REcapture combines Pinsent Masons’ deep transactional expertise with an integrated suite of technology-enabled processes to accelerate legal delivery and surface critical issues much earlier in the transaction lifecycle. The product has already delivered significant time savings, enabling clients to make informed decisions sooner and progress transactions with greater certainty.
Using REcapture, red flag reports are produced up to 40% faster, with recent transactions seeing more than 180 reports delivered in 75% less time than previously. Portfolio lease reporting timelines have been reduced by over 45%, while offering clients far greater visibility across the entire rent roll.
By delivering due diligence earlier, REcapture creates more space for investors to assess key risks, prepare investment committee papers, address pricing issues and engage with lenders with fewer outstanding issues or a more considered mitigation strategy. Earlier clarity also allows underwriting to be completed sooner and bids to be submitted on a more informed and credible basis.
Gerry Mulholland, Partner at Pinsent Masons, said: “REcapture changes the pace of real estate transactions. It gives clients earlier insight, sharper focus on the issues that matter and the confidence to move faster. By standardising processes and surfacing data and red flags much earlier, clients get sharper insight into risk, pricing and structure. ”
REcapture has been developed to address longstanding inefficiencies in real estate transactions by introducing greater efficiency, quicker processing and simpler workflow management, alongside improved pricing certainty through detailed upfront process mapping. REcapture is not an off-the-shelf product, it has been constructed by bringing together existing technology platforms but with bespoke elements being built in collaboration among Pinsent Masons experienced transactional lawyer team, their dedicated Property Innovation & Change Team and in-house legal engineers, with the firm believing it has created a market first product in this area of property transactions.
The launch of REcapture further strengthens Pinsent Masons’ position in the real estate market, offering a differentiated solution for investors and lenders navigating complex and time-sensitive transactions.
