Pinsent Masons MPillay advises Coro Energy plc on sale of European gas business

29 Nov 2023 | 03:47 pm |

Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons MPillay has advised Southeast Asian energy company Coro Energy plc on the sale of Coro Europe Limited to Zodiac Energy plc.

Coro Europe Limited owns a portfolio of producing and development-stage natural gas assets in Italy.

Pinsent Masons MPillay advised Coro Energy plc on the English law aspects of the sale. The cross-border deal team was led by UK-based corporate partner Rosalie Chadwick and included Singapore-based senior associate Steven McKinley and UK-based associate Beth Stott.

Commenting on the matter, Rosalie Chadwick said: “This was an important transaction for Coro Energy that will allow the company to focus greater resources on Southeast Asia. There is a significant investment push in the Asia Pacific region driving the transition to renewable energy and this divestment allows Coro Energy to focus on that.”

Coro Energy plc is an AIM-listed energy company with a growth strategy centred on low carbon energy investments, supported by an existing platform of gas assets.
