Pinsent Masons is fundamentally a "people" business, and we work hard to develop and sustain an inclusive and healthy culture which prioritises wellbeing and where all our people feel they belong and have the opportunity to reach their potential.
Our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion reinforces and supports our strategy to attract, retain and enable talented people and reflects our values and purpose, and we are passionate about ensuring that everyone in the firm feels respected and included.
We encourage agile working so employees can work flexibly outside of core working hours to avoid the need to take holiday or unpaid leave to help them manage their personal circumstances accordingly. Agile working also allows employees to work from any location, including but not necessarily from home, to enable them to be on hand if required for caring, family or other interests and responsibilities.
Our aim is to be market leaders in family friendly provisions and our suite of policies to support parents and carers is testament to our dedication in this area. As a business we are committed to creating an environment that allows everyone to better manage the balance between family and work responsibilities.
Family Friendly Policies
We offer the following:
Our Fertility Policy now allows more flexibility for time off during the fertility process and for medical appointments and recovery afterwards. The aim of this policy is to provide anyone with the confidential help needed to facilitate an easier process at what can be a very difficult time and is also now available to both parents, regardless of gender. Our Fertility Support Group supports anyone dealing with fertility issues and baby loss at any stage. The group is open to all.
Anyone with significant caring responsibilities may take time off work to manage these commitments. We recognise the challenging and unpredictable nature of caring, and endeavour to support our people in combining work with care by allowing up to five days paid leave per year to deal with such situations.
Regardless of length of service, everyone is eligible for carer's leave. This includes everyone who works full-time or part-time, and anyone on fixed term contracts. If you are part-time, the number of days is equivalent to your normal working week.
