Christina is head of Pinsent Masons Pensions Solutions and acts as an independent trustee. She works closely with trustee boards, HR directors and finance directors to manage their pension risk.

Christina's experience

  • Worked with Vaillant Group Pension Scheme Trustees and Pensions Manager on governance and scheme management, including drafting minutes, agendas, and updating business plans. Delivered high-quality secretarial services since 2020, ensuring resilience, timely execution, and strategic focus. Supported ESOG/ORA, risk management, policy development, board effectiveness through PMPS’s expertise and governance framework.

  • Advised Board of Trustee directors on ensuring comprehensive minutes for Trustee meetings and sub-committees during a busy period for the Plan. Assisted with ad hoc governance queries from the Trustee Board, allowing the Trustee and Pensions Manager to focus on successfully executing a buy-in and GMP equalisation project.

  • Pinsent Masons Pensions Solutions helped guide the Trustee Board through different transition phases of the pension scheme. From bringing new Trustees up to speed all the way through to wind up. Their co-ordination of the Board and advisers helped assist in the smooth running of the Trustee Board and set an excellent governance standard.

  • Providing project management services on a large scale legal documentation project for a leading professional services company.

  • Acted as sole corporate independent trustee to The Epson Telford Limited Pension & Life Assurance Scheme on a £50m full-scheme buy-in with Pension Insurance Corporation (PIC).

  • Providing project management services for the transition of third-party administration service providers, including managing and running transition projects, running weekly project meetings with both previous and new administrators, running monthly Trustee sub-committee meetings, managing risk and monitoring handover actions to ensure a smooth transition.

  • Advised on providing scheme secretarial services to a high street bank. This involved pension scheme management such as organising and attending trustee meetings, drafting the scheme business Plan and completing a board evaluation exercise.

  • Advised a Board of Trustees on the procurement of a fiduciary manager to comply with the CMA requirements. We provided a full audit trail and the project went smoothly and was very well received by the client.

  • Advised an energy sector client on largescale multi-party pension projects borne of multi-jurisdictional corporate deals.

  • Advised an energy sector client on crisis management throughout the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic.
