Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has hired tax partner Robert Dever to lead and develop its tax law practice in Dublin and strengthen its European transactional services group.
Robert joins from his role as partner in the tax group at multinational law firm Eversheds Sutherland. His extensive experience includes advising large domestic and multinational corporations on all aspects of corporate tax with a particular emphasis on, and expertise in, M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, inward investment projects, cross-border tax planning, demergers, private equity, joint ventures, as well as transfer pricing.
Head of Pinsent Masons Dublin office, Ann Lalor, said: "Robert is a highly regarded tax lawyer with a wealth of experience and expertise in the Irish market, and the recent winner of the International Tax Review EMEA Tax Rising Star Award for 2023. Robert's appointment follows further key hires to Pinsent Masons Dublin office last year Partners Maureen Daly and Conor Durkin joined in November to lead Ireland intellectual property and funds teams respectively, and financial services litigation expert Lisa Carty joined in May to lead Ireland’s litigation practice.
