Pinsent Masons opens international delivery centre in Cape Town, South Africa

02 Feb 2026 | 09:14 am | 1 min. read

Pinsent Masons has established an international delivery centre in Cape Town, South Africa.

The centre will expand and evolve the firm’s legal delivery services, which are predominantly delivered by Pinsent Masons Vario, enabling Pinsent Masons to remain competitive in an increasingly dynamic market for transformed legal delivery capabilities.

The new centre will provide a growing range of services to the firm’s international client base outside of South Africa, enabling high-quality, sophisticated management of matters to our clients’ benefit. These services will include administrative, paralegal, company secretary, legal project management and legal technology and consulting expertise.

The integration and seamless connectivity of the centre with Pinsent Masons’ international legal teams means clients outside of South Africa will benefit from a hybrid model of service delivery capabilities.

Matthew Kay, Head of Pinsent Masons Vario and project lead for the establishment of the new centre says: “Whether it’s through leveraging the potential of AI or deploying our diverse range of legal skillsets, we’re continually transforming the way we deliver our services. It’s really about ensuring our clients receive our best work, in the right way. Our new legal delivery centre in Cape Town means we can apply highly skilled resources to meet our clients' demands in a very competitive international legal market.”

The international delivery centre will predominantly service client matters but will also offer some support for other Pinsent Masons functions.

The centre will be a separate entity to the firm’s existing South African office in Johannesburg and will not serve South African matters or accept local instructions.

Pinsent Masons Johannesburg remains the firm’s only office delivering legal services to clients in South Africa.

The new centre is open and operational as of today, Monday 2nd February 2026.
