The firm is one of the club’s longest standing backers, first becoming a sponsor in 2005. The new deal will maintain its involvement for the next three seasons, a period that will see the Kia Oval host India and Australia this year, an Ashes Test Match and the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2019.
Throughout the sponsorship, Pinsent Masons has funded a Surrey Cricket Foundation scholarship programme where a group of up to 16 young cricketers are given places on Surrey CCC development courses, free of charge, and the opportunity to meet a member of the Surrey squad at the Kia Oval during the summer.
Carolyn Saunders, Partner and Head of the London office at Pinsent Masons, said: “We are excited to be continuing our partnership with Surrey County Cricket Club during this momentous period in the club’s history.
“This is a partnership that is highly valued by our clients and employees. We also appreciate being able to provide opportunities for aspiring young cricketers through the Pinsent Masons Scholarship programme. As a firm, we are committed to supporting initiatives that inspire young people in our local communities.”
Charlie Hodgson, Surrey CCC Commercial Director, added: “Pinsent Masons are one of the club’s oldest sponsors and we’re delighted they have agreed to further extend their relationship.
“The next three years will be amongst the most exciting in the long history of Surrey County Cricket Club and I look forward to Pinsent Masons partnering with us along the way.”
