Pinsent Masons advises EDF power solutions and ESB on strategic partnership with Sumitomo Corporation in Gwynt Glas Offshore Wind Farm

Gwynt Glas, to be located in the Celtic Sea off the coast of Pembrokeshire, has secured development rights through The Crown Estate's Round 5 leasing process and is expected to have a generating capacity of up to 1.5GW, helping to support the UK's energy security ambitions.

The transaction brings together three highly experienced energy and infrastructure developers with a shared commitment to advancing floating offshore wind to deliver the economic, supply chain, and community benefits essential to growing the sector in the Celtic Sea.

The Pinsent Masons team was led by Brian Thumath and Alexandra Craig, with support from Scott Blain, Jennifer Gillespie, Sheena Bryson, Andrew McCarthy, Giles Warrington and Amanpreet Kaur.
