Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has advised Regenerate Asset Management in the launch of the Regenerate European Sustainable Agriculture Fund.
Regenerate is an independent private markets investment manager focussed on impact and climate transition. The fund will invest directly in agricultural businesses growing and supplying regenerative and climate positive produce in Europe. These businesses are actively transitioning to sustainable or regenerative practices, such as improving soil health, carbon sequestration, biodiversity, water conservation, circular practices, nutrient density and farm emissions.
The Pinsent Masons team advising on the transaction was led by Investment Funds Partner Ian Warner.
Commenting on the deal, Ian Warner said: “Regenerate’s unique investment approach is actively involved in bridging the gap between natural capital and the international finance community. We share their support to farmers and landowners to transition to sustainable agriculture.”
Ben Stafford, Regenerate CEO added: “Contributing to the sustainable decarbonisation of agriculture is our priority at Regenerate; we are investing in a multi-generational opportunity that will go beyond net zero. Ian and the team at Pinsent Masons provided outstanding support and advice in helping to launch this fund and we look forward to continuing the strong relationship we have built with them.”
