Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has hired Corporate Real Estate/M&A partner Jon Blackburn to join its Real Estate sector team in the firm’s London office.
A dedicated corporate real estate specialist, Jon has extensive experience in indirect real estate acquisitions and disposals and on property joint ventures. He has worked on numerous corporate deals involving real estate vehicles, and on property portfolio transactions, across multiple jurisdictions.
Jon joins from Maples Teesdale, where he has been a partner since 2013. Prior to that he worked at Taylor Wessing.
This hire follows the recent appointment of corporate tax partner Robert Dever to Pinsent Masons’ Dublin office.
Head of Corporate Real Estate Sector at Pinsent Masons, Robert Moir, said: “Our clients are undergoing rapid transformation and we’ve experienced significantly growing demand for our team’s corporate real estate and M&A, structuring and restructuring expertise. Jon’s impressive experience and established practice focused on the Real Estate sector will add further bench strength to our fully integrated sector capabilities across corporate/M&A, structuring, forensic accounting and tax.”
Jon Blackburn commented: “Robert and the Corporate Real Estate team at Pinsent Masons have a great reputation in the market, and being a part of the firm’s growth trajectory in the UK and internationally is fantastic. I’m excited about the opportunity to join the firm and work across its multinational network on a wide range of cross border mandates.”
