Pinsent Masons hires leading funds partner in Luxembourg

17 Sep 2025 | 09:00 am | 1 min. read

Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has today announced the hire of Manfred Dietrich to lead its funds and asset management team in Luxembourg.

Manfred joins the firm as a partner with over twenty four years of experience across private practice and in-house counsel roles. Manfred’s depth of experience includes acting as a Founding Partner of Norton Rose Fulbright’s office in Luxembourg.

Manfred’s practice covers the full range of funds expertise, from fund establishment and structuring work, to acting for institutional investors on their fund investment programmes. Similarly, his experience in building Luxembourg-based funds teams for international law firms is a significant strategic asset and ideally positions the firm to capitalise on its presence in Luxeumbourg and across Europe.

Commenting on Manfred’s arrival, head of the UK asset management and investment funds practice David Young said: “Luxembourg is a strategically significant jurisdiction for private markets investment structures across many asset classes not only in Europe, but across the globe and Manfred’s appointment is vital as we look to hone our focus on funds in the region. Similarly, bolstering our presence in this space will provide a broader platform to allow us to participate in high value cross-border private market transactions with our other funds experts across Europe.”

On joining Pinsent Masons, Manfred commented: “Having been a founding player in the establishment of funds practices in Luxembourg, I am poised to join Pinsent Masons at this critical juncture in the growth of its own funds footprint in Luxembourg and globally. My experience will provide further bandwidth to support clients as they need to respond to business challenges as well as regulatory developments.”
