International law firm Pinsent Masons continues the expansion of its Madrid office with the appointment of Paula Fernández-Longoria as partner.
Paula Fernández-Longoria joins from Bird & Bird Madrid where she led the office's Data Privacy practice. She is an experienced TMT lawyer adept in advising global organisations on data privacy, GDPR implementation and cyber security matters.
Together with recent recruit Paloma Bru, she will grow the TMT team in Madrid and work with the firm's international data privacy team to enhance its cross border proposition.
Diego Lozano, head of Pinsent Masons Madrid says: "Paula's appointment marks our second partner hire this year and reflects our commitment to growing the Madrid office. TMT is one of our core sector specialisms and her depth of experience is indicative of the calibre of lawyers that comprise our team."
Paula Fernández-Longoria added: "Cyber security is a significant risk area for businesses, particularly with increasing regulatory intervention and the implementation of GDPR bringing substantially increased fines. Pinsent Masons has deep TMT sector focus and a highly regarded Information Law practice and I'm thrilled to be joining the team."
Pinsent Masons announced the appointment of TMT lead, Paloma Bru, in January.
