Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has announced the appointment of Jennifer Burr as a Legal Director in its Investment Funds team in Luxembourg. She joins the firm with more than 15 years of experience advising fund sponsors, asset managers, financial institutions and investors on the structuring, establishment and ongoing management of Luxembourg investment funds and related investment vehicles.

A highly regarded funds lawyer, Jennifer advises on a broad range of traditional and alternative investment products. She regularly supports domestic and international clients on governance matters, market developments and strategic considerations impacting fund structures and investment platforms. Fluent in five languages, Jennifer is well placed to advise clients across different jurisdictions in their own language, further strengthening her ability to serve the firm's diverse international client base.

Prior to joining Pinsent Masons, Jennifer Burr held senior roles at several leading international law firms in Luxembourg. Earlier in her career, she worked within the investment funds department of the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier.

Commenting on the appointment, Manfred Dietrich, Head of Asset Management and Investment Funds at Pinsent Masons Luxembourg, said: “Jennifer's arrival further strengthens our investment funds capability in Luxembourg, one of the world's leading fund domiciles and a strategically important market for our clients. Her extensive experience across the full lifecycle of investment funds, the portfolio management activity as well as the wider fund services ecosystem, combined with her deep knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework and practical insight into the industry, will be a tremendous asset to our international funds practice.

Jennifer Burr said: “I am delighted to join Pinsent Masons at an exciting stage in the growth of its international funds practice. The firm has built a strong reputation for supporting clients on complex cross-border matters, and I am particularly excited to be part of the firm's focused efforts to develop expertise in digital assets, an area that is rapidly reshaping the investment funds landscape. I look forward to working with colleagues across the global network to help clients navigate this increasingly dynamic environment.”

This appointment follows other recent strategic hires to the Luxembourg Investment Fund team, including the appointment of Pawel Buniowski as Managing Senior Associate and Nina Aranda as an Associate.
