Introduction
Our internship is the perfect introduction to Pinsent Masons for those wanting to launch a legal career with us.
Working alongside our lawyers and trainees on real client projects, you will enjoy structured work-based learning, skills training and presentations.
You will gain full exposure to a few practice areas, allowing you to form strong team relationships, getting deeply involved with their work and gaining relevant experience while enjoying an unexpected level of responsibility. You will also have the chance to attend onsite training and events and get involved in social activities.

Every intern will be paid at a standard rate of RMB260 for each day worked, or at an increased daily rate of RMB400 during contract extension. The firm will not be responsible for social benefits payment.
What is the recruitment process?
The recruitment process for this programme includes the following steps:

01. Online application
Apply through our online application system. Read the questions, think about your responses and double-check everything before submitting.

All applications are screened according to a pre-defined framework and shortlisted candidates who best demonstrate that they meet our criteria will be contacted and invited to attend an interview with one of our lawyers and the HR team.

03. Offer
Whatever the outcome, we will let you know after your interviews. If you meet our core capabilities and perform well throughout the interviews, we will offer you an internship.
Qualification and beyond
As part of our recruitment strategy, we strive to recruit trainees from those who have interned with us. Therefore, candidates who would like to be considered for our trainee programme are strongly encouraged to apply for our internship.

- Cover letter indicating your interested area(s) of practice, your earliest availability, and preferred location (Beijing or Shanghai)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Academic transcripts for undergraduate and/or above
- PRC National Bar examination certificate (if applicable)
- Admission certificate(s) or qualification in jurisdiction(s) outside Mainland China (if applicable)
- Any other supporting documentation you consider relevant

How long does the internship last?
The duration of each internship contract is 3 months, subject to extension on an additional 3-month basis. Every intern will be required to work minimum 3 days per week.

Do you sponsor a working visa in Mainland China?
Unfortunately, we can only consider students who have a full right to work in Mainland China.
