Pinsent Masons hires Charlotte Scholes as new pensions litigation partner in London

20 Feb 2024 | 09:09 am |

Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has appointed pensions litigation partner Charlotte Scholes to join the firm’s financial services sector in its London office.

Charlotte’s practice spans the full range of pensions litigation. She has experience of acting for trustees, employers and representative beneficiaries in rectification and construction proceedings and has expertise in advising either claimants or defendants in related professional negligence claims.

Charlotte returns to Pinsent Masons where she completed her training contract and worked for over a decade in the pensions team. She joins from Gowling WLG, where she was a legal director in the pensions litigation practice.

Head of Pinsent Masons’ Pensions & Long-Term Savings, Stephen Scholefield, said: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Charlotte back in our team. She has considerable experience and deep litigation knowledge that will bring significant value to our professional trustee clients in particular.”

Charlotte is the third partner joining the firm’s pensions team in the last year, following Amie Bain in Glasgow in September 2023 and Andy Wright in Leeds in March 2023.

Commenting on her appointment, Charlotte added: “Pinsent Masons is one of the leading pensions litigation teams in the UK and I’m both delighted and proud to come back to such a highly ranked team and to participate in its future success.”
