In this session our panel of UK experts will discuss the UK Government’s second consultation on the review of electricity market arrangements (REMA) considering, in particular, how key themes of the consultation may affect stakeholders and market participants.

We will focus on the Government’s proposals relating to:

  • Zonal pricing – possible design and impact on generators, suppliers and consumers
  • Capacity Market reforms – balancing acceleration of low-carbon flexible capacity on the network with security of supply
  • Contracts for Difference reforms – considerations around alternative capacity-based payment arrangements
  • Long-duration assets - means of incentivising greater participation of long-duration low-carbon flexibility within the market, including battery storage and power-to-X
