Lessons from the Thai cave - Wellbeing insights from Dr Mark Berelowitz

Resilience has long been a buzz word in global workplaces, but what does it actually mean? Is it possible to be personally resilient when the team around you is struggling?

Pinsent Masons' Mindful Business Charter team hosts an insight on resilience and mental wellbeing with Dr Mark Berelowitz.

Mark is a Consultant Child Psychiatrist at the Royal Free Hospital in London. Along with his Thai colleague Dr Tee, Mark studied the boys who were trapped in the cave, and identified key themes to their resilience and survival. More recently Mark has been involved in supporting frontline clinical NHS staff during the COVID pandemic, and is helping the hospital plan for the post pandemic recovery.

Mark will explain the experiences of the boys, and the lessons learned for communities and corporations. Drawing comparisons to the principles of the Mindful Business Charter, Mark will explore how we might build back from the pandemic to create stronger and more resilient teams.
