Welcome to the next session in the International Construction Arbitration Perspectives on Best Practice series, hosted by the Centre of Construction Law & Dispute Resolution at King’s College London, in collaboration with Pinsent Masons.

As the seventh session in a nine-part series, the programme brings together panels of counsel, clients, and arbitrators to discuss the key stages involved in undertaking a construction arbitration. We will focus on disclosure, document management, and efficiency in mega-project arbitrations. Experienced arbitration practitioners will explore the practical challenges of managing extensive disclosure processes and large volumes of project documentation in complex disputes. The discussion will cover strategic approaches to disclosure, the role of effective document management systems, and the increasing use of technology to streamline review and organisation of evidence.

The panel will share insights on how parties and tribunals can balance thorough disclosure with procedural efficiency, helping to control time and cost while maintaining fairness in proceedings. The session will provide valuable perspectives for practitioners, industry professionals, and academics interested in improving the management of document-heavy construction arbitrations.

Speakers include:

  • James Cameron, Partner, Pinsent Masons
  • Jon Chan, Senior Managing Director, FTI Consulting
  • Professor Renato Nazzini KC, Director of the Centre of Construction Law & Dispute Resolution, King's College London
  • Angeline Welsh KC, Barrister, Essex Court Chambers
