Ransomware - how do you respond?
Ransomware attacks have increased exponentially during lock-down, with attackers adopting the twin approach of both encrypting and exfiltrating data.
This is then followed by a ransom-demand. We will look at the appropriate way to prepare for and respond to such a business-critical attack. Taking into account regulatory obligations (including the legality of making a payment), reputation considerations, and likely business impact. We will also consider the litigation that may follow including actions by data subjects.
