Webinar

This interactive online workshop explores the discrimination risks that can arise from a refusal to accommodate a request for flexible working.

Post pandemic employees are looking to their employers to provide flexibility in terms of where and when they carry out their work. Whilst some are content with non-contractual, agile working arrangements others require the certainty of a fixed arrangement upon which they can base e.g. domestic responsibilities or choice of home location.

Agenda

  • Recognising the risks of discrimination claims [and potential defences] if a request is refused
  • Coaching managers on the dangers of a “one size fits all” approach and the risks of unconscious bias in their decisions making
  • Practical exercise based on recent case law: good business reason to refuse?: The extent of scrutiny that managers can expect from ETs
  • Future reforms of the law: Government proposals
