Following a raft of developments across all areas of competition law, this year’s conference will focus on the changing competition law landscape, in particular, the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill, new guidelines on horizontal cooperation, merger control and foreign direct investment, subsidy control and the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation, and the increasing number of UK competition collective proceedings.
We are delighted to welcome George Lusty, Senior Director of Consumer Protection at the CMA to join our opening session on the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill. We are also pleased to have Richard Whish, Emeritus Professor, King’s College London, to outline the key trends in competition law. Alison Berridge, Barrister, Monckton Chambers, a competition and public law specialist, will add her expertise to the discussion on the UK merger control and NS&I regimes. We will also have Caitlin Wilkinson, Partner, KPMG and Laurence Crook, Associate Director, KPMG joining our session on UK subsidy control and the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation. Finally, we are honoured to have Mr Justice Marcus Smith, President of the Competition Appeal Tribunal as our Keynote Speaker to discuss key developments in competition and subsidy control litigation before the CAT. Please see our full programme and list of speakers below.
You will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the ever-evolving landscape of competition law, as well as to network with colleagues and peers with an interest in competition law.
We will host this event in person at our office in London but you will also be able to join the event online if you prefer. For those attending in person, there will be a buffet lunch provided before the conference and a drinks reception afterwards.
