Haringey Council has announced possible plans to create a company to help build 5,000 new homes across 20 different council sites.

The Council is searching for a private sector partner who will jointly own the company and who will help deliver the £2billion project. The selected partner will need to fund and develop the sites which are located in both Tottenham and Wood Green.

The allocated sites are a mix of housing estates, commercial and brownfield land.  These include Wood Green Civic Centre, Library, Northumberland Park Regeneration Area and the council owned parts of River Park House and Station Road Buildings. Further sites may also be considered at a later date.

Haringey Council will hold a vote to decide if to pursue the potential partnership strategy. If this is approved, it is expected that the procurement exercise will commence later this month.
