The UK based on-line service LastMinute.com has purchased on-line initiative UrbanBite.com, which promotes itself as the “one stop click and get food-ordering service”. The UrbanBite.com web site went live in the UK in October 2000 offering customers a convenient food delivery service from a choice of over 450 restaurants in the UK and 100 in the Netherlands.
