InterTrust yesterday announced that it has added three more patents to its lawsuit against Microsoft filed earlier this year. InterTrust alleges Microsoft's .NET implementation infringes various InterTrust patents covering secure computing technologies and DRM. The complaint further alleges that the "product activation" features of Windows XP, OfficeXP and other Microsoft products also infringe its patents.
In the lawsuit InterTrust seeks unspecified damages and an injunction prohibiting further infringement, such as by Microsoft's continued distribution of its .NET implementation, Windows XP and Windows ME operating systems, Office XP, Visio2002, Windows Media Player, Microsoft Reader, Digital Asset Server products, and other Microsoft application, server, and operating system products.
Microsoft has denied all the allegations to date.
