Developer Quintain Estates has submitted detailed plans for the first 500 homes in its 10,000 home Greenwich Peninsula regeneration scheme in east London.

The plans set out details of 506 homes which will be located across three plots at Peninsula Riverside in the southern quarter of the regeneration site, the developer said in a statement.

Quintain, who will deliver the project in joint venture with investment vehicle Knight Dragon, said that the plans have been submitted as part of an updated Memorandum of Understanding it has agreed with the Greater London Authority. The Memorandum further includes an agreement for 11 initial residential plots which enables the developer to accelerate delivery of the scheme's first 2,870 homes.

The masterplan for the scheme, which has outline consent, covers 346 acres and will provide 10,000 homes as well as 600 student beds, 3.5 million square feet of commercial space and new shops, schools and public facilities.

The developer said it expects the Council's planning committee to consider the plans in February 2013. If consent is granted, construction will start on the site in the summer.
