David Sorkin, an associate professor of law at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago has launched a web site which targets what he calls “stupid linking policies.” According to Sorkin, the Dontlink.com web site is a reaction to recent court decisions that banned or restricted hyperlinking.

Dontlink.com provides links to web sites that attempt to prevent others from linking to them, including the sites of the International Trademark Association, Shell Oil, the American Cancer Society, Motorola, the Washington Post, Disney, Gay Wired and Law.com. Dontlink.com links directly to the pages on which they publish their linking policies.
