The UK company Deltacross Ltd. has been ordered by a US court to transfer ownership of two domain names, nasdaqeurope.com and nasdaqeurope.net to the Nasdaq stock market.

A spokesman for Nasdaq’s parent company, the National Association of Securities Dealers Inc. (NASD), said: “We will continue to make protection of the Nasdaq trade mark our highest priority.”

The stock market and NASD own the Nasdaq trademark and it is registered as such in the US, the UK and 38 other countries. NASD announced last year that it plans to create a European Nasdaq, set to go live this year. It currently uses the web site at nasdaq-euromarket.com.
