Two employees working at the Stirling headquarters of financial services giant Prudential have been sacked for allegedly dealing drugs over the company's e-mail network, according to reports in the Metro and Daily Record newspapers.

The unnamed employees were fired as soon as the coded e-mails were discovered and deciphered. Six other members of staff have been suspended or disciplined and an investigation launched.

According to the Daily Record's report, a company spokesman confirmed, "We operate a very strict code of conduct which is rigorously enforced across the company."

Central Scotland police are investigating.
