  • Represented a German state cultural trust, in litigation to recover a 14th century wooden church altar out of insolvency proceedings.

  • Advised a UK-based property owner on the insolvency of its German tenant, a printing business. Provided strategic guidance on German self-administration proceedings and their impact on cross-border lease and loan agreements, including claw-back risks and set-off rights.

  • Acting for a Germany-based global automotive supplier with respect to a continuation agreement on ongoing tooling projects with the insolvency administrator of a German tier 2-automorive supplier.

  • Acting for the insolvency administrator of Lilium NV, a manufacturer of electric vertical take-off and landing airplanes, with respect to the distressed sale of the business and IP to an international investment consortium.

  • Acting for a Korea-based global automotive supplier with respect to the pursuit of claims as creditor in the insolvency proceedings of a German electric vehicle manufacturer.

  • Acted for an EU-based client with regard to a complex cross-border dispute relating to the treatment of claims and counterclaims in the self-administration insolvency proceedings of a German fashion brand.

  • Acted for the client as a secured creditor in German self-administration proceedings over the assets of a manufacturer of automotive servicing equipment with respect to asserting claims in the insolvency proceedings and with respect to leaving a suppliers' pool

  • Advised the German subsidiary of a Japan-based automotive supplier with respect to German insolvency law aspects of subordinated intercompany loans and binding letters of comfort

  • Acted for the client, a global automotive supplier, in relation to self-administration insolvency proceedings over the assets of the client's supplier with respect to bank guarantees for an e-mobility project and the negotiation of a continuation agreement with the insolvent supplier

  • Acting for the client in parallel insolvency litigation proceedings against two German insolvency administrators with respect to defending the client against clawback claims
