Clare's experience

  • Advised Tesco Stores Limited on the commercial and payment regulatory aspects of its landmark strategic partnerships with Uber Eats UK Limited and Roofoods Ltd (trading as Deliveroo), facilitating the expansion of Tesco's rapid grocery delivery service, Whoosh, by launching on two of the UK's leading third-party delivery platforms.

  • Advised ArcelorMittal Limited, a global steel and mining company, on the review, negotiation, and amendment of multiple supply contracts related to the expansion of their mine and construction of a concentrator at Mount Gangra, Liberia. This included providing legal support to their legal and procurement teams for new suppliers.

  • Advised Tarmac Trading Limited, a leading construction materials company, on various contractual matters including price increase provisions, notice periods, potential liabilities, and collaboration agreements for government grants. Additionally, provided guidance on supply agreements, termination deeds, and competition terms and conditions.

  • Advised Tesco Stores Limited on its contract simplification project, including strategy on template maintenance and updates, simplification and re-writing of terms and conditions, advice on the contracting process, and documenting the approvals process, as well as supporting training for the procurement team.

  • Advising a UK Bank on a media agency services contract, including the RFP downselect process and subsequent negotiation of a media buying contract with the successful bidder.

  • Advised Tesco Stores Limited, a leading retail company, on various commercial contract matters, including governance and contract approvals.

  • Advised Facegym Holdings Ltd, a fitness and beauty company, on the negotiation of heads of terms and full form documents for an investment by RRVL and the subsequent franchising of the business to RRVL in India.

  • Advised Rolls Royce plc on multiple strategic reviews and renegotiations of key supply agreements, including castings, ring forgings, structural components and aircraft supply arrangements, providing commercial and legal guidance to optimise pricing, strengthen negotiation strategy ahead of renewals, and enhance long term supply chain resilience.

  • Advised a software provider to advice firms, consolidators, building societies, and platforms during a transformative year. Supported numerous customer agreement variations, including a major mutual insurance company. Managed procurements and contract transfers related to the client's management buyout from a financial services company.

  • Supporting a PLC energy company with its Generative AI working group looking at horizon scanning; deploying types of AI within legal; and best contracting practice when procuring generative AI for use within the plc business to drive improvements
