Sukhbir advises on all stages of the tax controversy lifecycle, including pre enquiry risk assessment, HMRC enquiries, statutory appeals, and litigation before the UK Tribunals. Her experience covers a broad range of complex disputes involving corporation tax, VAT, transfer pricing, and international tax issues, often with significant factual and technical complexity. She regularly supports clients in managing interactions with HMRC, including responding to information notices, negotiating positions during enquiries, and preparing for hearings. She works closely with counsel on strategically important matters and has experience coordinating multi jurisdictional advice where disputes have a cross border dimension. Sukhbir also has experience advising on customs and international trade issues where these arise in a contentious or risk focused context, including classification, valuation, and procedural matters connected to wider tax disputes.
