Sylvia assists companies, states and state-owned entities in the resolution of complex, high-stakes and politically sensitive disputes arising under contracts, bilateral investment treaties (BITs) or multilateral treaties such as the Energy Charter Treaty. Sylvia has acted as both counsel and arbitrator and has extensive experience in the energy, mining, infrastructure and telecommunications industries.
