Pinsent Masons has appointed Judith Krens (Partner, Amsterdam) and Tom Nener (Partner, Birmingham) as co-leads of the Global Intellectual Property (IP) team, and has appointed Charlotte Weekes (Partner, London) as Head of Life Sciences. The appointments come in light of the upcoming departure of Clare Tunstall, the current Head of IP and Life Sciences, who will be leaving the firm in the Autumn.

Biographies:
Judith Krens joined Pinsent Masons in 2022 as a partner in the Amsterdam office, where she heads the IP practice. She is a leading patent litigator with extensive experience in complex cross-border patent disputes and LS regulatory disputes. She is also a UPC representative and litigates in the UPC. She advises clients in various sectors, including life sciences, technology, and consumer goods.
Tom Nener joined Pinsent Masons in 2019 and became a partner in the Birmingham office in 2022, where he co-led our international Brand Protection and Creative Rights team. He is a recognised expert in IP litigation with a focus on brand protection, creative rights and trade secrets. He acts for clients in a range of industries, such as technology, sports, retail and consumer, manufacturing and automotive.
Charlotte Weekes joined Pinsent Masons in 2010 and became a partner in the London office in 2015, where she is a member of the IP team and previously led the Generics & Biosimilars Focus Group. She is a specialist in life sciences having advised clients in the sector for more than 20 years. Charlotte’s background is in life sciences patent and Supplementary Protection Certificate litigation, regularly co-ordinating pan-EU strategies to support clients bringing products to market or seeking to maintain their market position.
