Pinsent Masons appointed on Ince Gordon Dadds LLP deal

International law firm Pinsent Masons was appointed Solicitor Manager and advised the Joint Administrators on the deal.

Following its acquisition by Gordon Dadds Group plc, Blue Co London UK LLP (formerly Ince & Co LLP) appointed law firm restructuring specialists Andrew Hosking and Sean Bucknall of Quantuma as Joint Administrators to facilitate the transfer of its regulated business to Gordon Dadds LLP, thus creating a top 30 legal practice.

The acquisition will see 200 staff and 24 Partners move to Ince Gordon Dadds creating the largest listed law firm.

Pinsent Masons Banking & Restructuring partner Steven Cottee advised the Joint Administrators on the transaction. Professional Practices partner Samantha Palmer, also from Pinsent Masons, has been appointed as the Solicitor Manager.

Andrew Hosking of Quantuma said "We have been able to successfully conclude a transfer of the regulated business in a very short timescale over the holiday period which enabled the wider transaction in which Gordon Dadds acquired the UK interests of Ince & Co LLP to be completed. Protecting clients' interests remains the priority and the Solicitor Manager is overseeing the safe transfer of client monies and client files in accordance with clients' instructions."
