Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has named international arbitration partner Pamela McDonald as the new head of its Doha office.
Pamela joined Pinsent Masons as a trainee in 2009 and has been based in Qatar since 2014. Pamela is an international arbitration specialist, primarily advising clients across the Middle Eastern region in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Recent significant projects Pamela has advised on include Hamad Airport, the Doha Metro, independent power and water plants, hotels, stadiums, malls and oil and gas processing facilities.
Pamela McDonald said of her appointment, “Over the years Pinsent Masons has built an enviable reputation in the Middle East as a full-service firm aligned to in-depth specialism in the energy, infrastructure, financial services and technology sectors. I’m looking forward to taking on this new challenge and continuing to build on this and further drive client relationships in Qatar and across the region.”
Pamela takes over from Jonathan Collier who has held the position since 2018. Jonathan has taken on a new role as the head of Construction Advisory Disputes in Qatar.
