International law firm Pinsent Masons is displaying a collection of drawings and paintings by North West-based artist Caroline Johnson.

Available to view from 8 June until the end of July 2015, the collection includes Caroline's work depicting the streets and buildings of contemporary Manchester and Salford.

Caroline is part of a growing worldwide movement of urban sketchers who produce drawings in towns and cities.

Caroline was also recently given access to draw the Blueprint recording studios in Salford used by Elbow, where she captured their workplace as they prepared songs for their most recent album.

Caroline Johnson was born in Preston and studied at the Harris School of Art, Preston, Falmouth, and London’s Central St. Martins. Her work has had successful solo exhibitions at Stockport Art Gallery in 2014, Salford Museum and Art Gallery in 2013 and the See Gallery, Rossendale in 2011.

Caroline Johnson says: "I’m very pleased to be given the opportunity to share my work with a new audience, away from a conventional gallery setting."

Helen Ridge, Head of Manchester office at Pinsent Masons says: "We are delighted to have this selection of Caroline's work displayed in our office. The drawings we have selected perfectly capture the iconic buildings in the two cities surrounding our office and we hope people get the opportunity to enjoy them while they are in Manchester city centre."

Caroline will be running drawing workshops at the prestigious Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool throughout June and July.
