Pinsent Masons secures 11th place in Financial Times Diversity Leaders 2021 Report

Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has been named as a top 20 Diversity Leader by the Financial Times, ranked 11th in its Diversity Leaders 2021 report.

As the annual ranking, which evaluates 850 European employers on diversity, gender, age, disability, ethnicity and sexual orientation, saw the firm secure the highest ranking of any UK-headquartered business included in the analysis.

The survey of more than 100,000 employees from 15,000 companies conducted by research company Statista, assess employees' perception of companies' inclusiveness or efforts to promote diversity.

Senior partner at Pinsent Masons, Richard Foley, said: "There's no doubt that the pandemic has underscored the need for clear and decisive action to promote belonging and inclusion across all businesses.

"As we all adjust to the impact of the crisis on our daily lives we face a number of complex challenges from working at home without regular face time with colleagues to grappling with financial concerns and balancing family and work considerations. Now is the time to embed belonging and inclusion fully and continue to drive meaningful change so that everyone across our business is supported and respected."

This year Pinsent Masons has progressed its D&I efforts via a number of initiatives including launching its Neurodiversity Network which provides a forum for discussion and support for neurodiverse colleagues.

Furthermore the firm was named as a top five inclusive employer by LGBT charity Stonewall in its UK Workplace Equality Index and was named as a top 50 UK employer in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2020 report.
