Outside the jurisdictions where our own team members are based, we have strong working relationships with overseas legal advisers, who have detailed knowledge of how equity incentives operate locally. Working with people who know what they are doing can save time and, ultimately, cost. At the same time, we are aware that companies may have strong preferences for using existing overseas advisers. We are happy to work with a client's appointed advisers too.
For our multi-national clients, we can suggest a variety of approaches to overseas legal advice, based on relevant facts and circumstances and in the context of the particular entity's commercial attitude towards risk. We will work with clients to plan and project manage the launch, operation and eventual maturity of a plan in multiple jurisdictions.
Our systems and processes for project-managing the implementation of a global equity plan are designed to ensure that clients receive succinct, yet thorough and cost-effective advice on local issues. We co-ordinate the advice and present out clients with an easy-to-read summary, highlighting any key issues and outlining action points.
