International law firm Pinsent Masons has been praised as one of the Top Global Employers for a third year by leading lesbian, gay, bi and trans equality charity Stonewall.

Pinsent Masons is one of 13 organisations recognised for its pioneering efforts to create inclusive workplaces and advance equality for LGBT+ people globally.

Earlier this year the firm was also the highest ranking law firm in Stonewall's Workplace Equality Index, named second out of the hundred most LGBT+ friendly companies in the UK.

Richard Foley, Senior Partner at Pinsent Masons, said:

"Everybody deserves to feel comfortable and confident in bringing their whole self to work. As a global employer we firmly believe in the importance of promoting and fostering an inclusive culture across our whole organisation.

"Over the last year the level of engagement with our diversity programmes has never been higher, not only within our business but amongst our client base too. We must continue to engage with our colleagues, clients and the wider community and work together to further the progress that is being made in advancing equality for LGBT+ people globally."

Organisations included in the Top Global Employers list are assessed against a set of best-practice criteria across nine different areas of employment policy and practice, examining both global working structures and operational country activity.

Ruth Hunt, Chief Executive, Stonewall said:

"Pinsent Masons has demonstrated a real commitment to ensuring that all their lesbian, gay, bi and trans staff and stakeholders feel included at work. These businesses truly are at the forefront of driving global LGBT+ inclusion in the workplace, and between them reach nearly 900,000 people.

"There is so much left to do to ensure that lesbian, gay, bi and trans employees feel able to be themselves at work, no matter where they are. We’re proud to work with Pinsent Masons to create workplaces that are inclusive and supportive of LGBT+ people and equality."
