Wee Jian specialises in complex litigation and arbitration matters, primarily in the construction and infrastructure sectors. His recent experience includes highly confidential and sensitive disputes relating to major foreign and local rail, road, and water projects, and commercial, residential and mixed-use developments. He has also acted in and advised on cross-border matters concerning fraud, bribery, anti-money laundering, and Mareva and performance bond injunctions.
Back in school, Wee Jian represented Singapore and his university in local and overseas competitions, and received various mooting, advocacy, and debating awards. A recipient of the Singapore Academy of Law Overseas Attachment Scholarship, Wee Jian has worked with Queen's Counsel in Fountain Court Chambers in London. Wee Jian is also a tutor under the Singapore Board of Legal Education for the Singapore bar exams.
Wee Jian is one of the youngest amongst the inaugural batch of Singapore-qualified lawyers (only 11 in total) recognised by the Singapore Academy of Law in 2018 as an Accredited Specialist in Building and Construction Law.
