EIOPA guidelines on outsourcing to cloud service providers

Pinsent Masons' Partner Andreas Carney and Senior Associate Dermot McGirr will consider the main contracting requirements in the guidelines, draw on our experience with similar guidelines to identify some practical challenges they present, and how those might be addressed. 

The EIOPA guidelines on outsourcing to cloud service providers came into effect on 1 January this year, and insurers and reinsurers within the scope of the guidelines now need to comply with their requirements.
