An increasing reliance on digital communication technologies and data on infrastructure projects is changing how we look at these projects.

The biggest issue in the infrastructure sector right now is the need for better use of data, shared across stakeholders – from safety to carbon to climate resilience. The focus is moving to connected digital twins - virtual models of our physical infrastructure.

From IPRs to data sharing, digital twins raise a range of issues that have not been previously considered by the sector.

In the second module of our Global Infrastructure Law Review of the Year, our infrastructure and technology experts will look at legal developments and trends and how best to tackle the challenges and opportunities that digital twins bring.
