Legal round-up for the food and drink sector

A bite-size session covering recent and forthcoming legal developments affecting many in the food and drink sector. 

This session will cover the key policies underpinning the Government’s drive to tackle obesity, including the legislation which will come into force in 2022 to mandate calorie labelling in the out of home sector and place restrictions on the price promotion and placement of high fat, salt and sugar items in certain stores and online.

We will also cover “Natasha’s Law” which came into force in October 2021 which increased the allergen labelling requirements of prepacked for direct sale foods.
