Taiwan offshore wind: Zonal development round

In this session Pinsent Masons and local Taiwanese law firm LCS & Partners will discuss the Taiwan offshore wind zonal development round and the opportunities that are presented.

The Taiwanese authorities have made a formal announcement to kick-start the next allocations of Offshore Wind Licenses as part of a 10 year program to implement a further 15GW of offshore wind power in Taiwan.

With the most recent announcements from the various authorities overseeing the development of the offshore wind sector in Taiwan (the Bureau of Energy and the Industrial Development Bureau, both part of the Ministry of Economic Affairs), interested market players can now submit applications for site approval as part of the stage 1 (3GW) tendering for capacity allocations under the 15GW Zonal Development Round.
