Event
As part of Pinsent Masons’ Cyber Week, we are delighted to present a breakfast briefing where we will discuss cyber security and how to prepare for operational resilience requirements.
The conflict in Ukraine has irrevocably changed the threat environment, forcing companies to defend against hostile nation-state activity and hacktivism, alongside an array of threats from sophisticated criminals and fraudsters. How do we separate the signals from the noise? How do we ensure that we are focusing resources on the most important and high-impact threats? What do we need to do to meet a growing array of legal obligations on digital and operational resilience and incident reporting?
We are delighted to be joined by Paul Gillen, Chief Information Security Officer of Barclays Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Managing Director of Barclays Ireland, who will give his view of the Global Threat Landscape, how we can leverage intelligence to prioritise and defend against these threats, and how to prepare for operational resilience requirements.
We will also explore:
the new framework for digital operational resilience for financial institutions under the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), and its mandated controls for internal governance and third party risk management;
the new and enhanced requirements laid down by the new Network and Information Security Directive (NIS2), which seek to introduce a higher common level of cybersecurity across the EU; and
practical analysis and insights from our speakers on how to navigate and prepare for DORA and NIS2.
The briefing will conclude with an engaging panel discussion where you will be invited to raise questions.
You are warmly invited to attend and we look forward to welcoming you.
