Tax & Spend – Reaching Net Zero by 2050

This is the first in a number of planned Pinsent Masons webinars considering the importance of tax policy in achieving the UK’s legal target of reducing net emissions to 1990 levels by 2050.

In this introductory webinar, we will explore the following:

• Climate change as the number one business risk, an overview of the Climate Change Act and the Government's planned "green recovery" from the impact of COVID-19.
• Is a carbon tax now on the horizon in the UK, and if so, will this be enough? Can we do more with the tax system more generally?

• What are the current tax issues faced by businesses in trying to reduce their climate impact?
