Will Artificial Intelligence Make Women’s Lives Better
Will we be replaced by robots with superior intelligence? Join Pinsent Masons' thought-provoking panel discussion about how AI is likely to impact women
It is hard to believe that it has been just over a year since Chat GPT was released to the public.
Since then, Artificial Intelligence has dominated the news cycle throughout 2023. As we all grapple with how to understand and use this technology at work and at home, huge questions remain about what its ultimate impact will be on society. Will we all be replaced by robots with superior intelligence, or will we find ourselves leading lives of leisure while they wait on our every need?
Please join the Pinsent Masons' Women in Tech group for a lively and thought-provoking panel discussion about how Artificial Intelligence is likely to impact women.
We are thrilled to be joined by two amazing speakers, Kate Hodesdon, Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Stability AI and Maria Perez-Ortiz, Associate Professor of Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development at the Department of Computer Science, University College London.
Pinsent Masons' Partners, Diane Mullenex and Yvonne Dunn will moderate the debate as we explore the following issues:
- How can we ensure that women are equal participants in the gains that make from increasing use of AI?
- How can we address potential concerns around bias in the use of AI?
- Can AI be harnessed to address some of the responsibilities and burdens both in and out of work that may fall disproportionately on women?
- What should we do about the threat of job losses from AI, in the creative industries and elsewhere?
