Guidance on "Zero Carbon Homes" and emerging green building regulations published

A green building guide has been published, providing advice on "green" schemes affecting the built environment.

The guide entitled "Low Carbon Buildings and Homes, Skills and Opportunities", was commissioned by SummitSkills, the sector skills council for the building services engineering sector, and has been prepared by Zero Carbon Hub, which is working with the Government in the development of low carbon building policy.

The guide focuses on Zero Carbon Homes, proposed amendments to building regulations, and the Government's recent consultation on reducing carbon targets.  Government policy is also covered in the publication with sections relating to policy on low carbon buildings, the Green Deal and the National Planning Policy Framework.

The guide aims to provide information about green policies, initiatives and regulations, and to highlight potential business opportunities for the building services engineering sector.
